World TeamTennis scheduled to Return to USTA’s National Campus for Second Season, July 12–29
The Orlando Storm is set to return to the City Beautiful for its second World TeamTennis season this July at the USTA’s National Campus in Orlando’s Lake Nona Sports District. The 2020 Season Opener is scheduled for Sunday, July 12 at 5:00 pm EDT as the Storm entertain the Philadelphia Freedoms for the first of seven (7) home matches over a 17-day period.
The Orlando Storm has signed WTA veteran coach Jay Gooding to head the all-star roster. In his first season at the helm, Gooding will coach WTT and American superstars Tennys Sandgren and Danielle Collins. In addition, Orlando Storm veterans Ken Skupski and Darija Jurak will play for the Storm this summer, along with Great Britain’s James Ward. Sandgren is a two-time Australian Open quarterfinalist (2018 and 2020) and Collins is a former two-time NCAA singles champion from the University of Virginia who advanced to the semifinals at the 2019 Australian Open.
