INTERN: Business Development | Partnership Activation Orlando Storm/World TeamTennis

The Business Development | Partnership Activation position will assist with the day to day operations of the revenue generation team.  This position will work diligently within the LinkedIn platform, along with other sources, to assemble and deliver a daily list of leads for corporate sales and ticket sales, while also processing all leads generated from STORM outbound events.  The Intern will also help with communication with external stakeholders while assisting with the daily upkeep of the Basecamp communications system.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following;

  • Assist in day to day operations of the Orlando Storm & all related events
  • Research potential business relationships for the 2020 season and beyond
  • Work and attend all Orlando Storm Matches and associated team functions
  • Provide assistance in the production of creative content (Photo/Video/Written)
  • Manage the day to day upkeep of all projects via Basecamp communications software
  • Write an end of season action memo summarizing your duties and creating a comprehensive guide for the next person to hold this position for the 2021 season.
  • Serve as a member of the Ticket Sales Team, with eligibility for end of season bonus plan
  • Build and maintain a positive brand image for new and current Orlando Storm Fans

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to work all assigned office hours, events, and 2020 matches (July 12-August 2)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills + organizational and multitasking skills
  • Priority will be given to third and fourth-year college students
  • Studying Sport Management or related field preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office & willingness to engage Basecamp as primary communications platform for all Orlando Storm operations
  • Must be creative, enthusiastic and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with TicketSauce & Basecamp is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple departments
  • Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license

Interns will be part-time employees, scheduled for 10 to 20 hours per week / 350 hours maximum, paid at $10 per hour, no benefits.  The position is scheduled to begin March 16, 2020 and end on August 7, 2020, or a maximum of twenty-one (21) weeks.

INTERN: Social/Digital Media | Content Generation  Orlando Storm/World TeamTennis

The Social/Digital Media | Content Generation Intern position will assist with the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the team’s social media channels, and will be charged with the ideation, creation, and delivery of brand-building, fan engaging content to tell the story of the 2020 Orlando Storm season.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following;

  • Assist in day to day operations of the Orlando Storm & all related events
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of Storm Social Media & Creative Content
  • Ideate, Gather, Produce and Deliver a variety of multimedia content for the Team Facebook page & Facebook Live events, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Work and attend all Orlando Storm Matches and associated team functions
  • Manage the day to day upkeep of all projects via Basecamp communications software
  • Write an end of season action memo summarizing your duties and creating a comprehensive guide for the next person to hold this position for the 2021 season.

The Ticket Sales & Service Intern position will assist with all day to day operations of Orlando Storm Ticketing and the daily upkeep of the team’s ticketing platforms on Ticket Sauce, Fevo, etc.  This position will focus on GROUP SALES and SEASON TICKET SALES, while working with all areas of the Orlando Storm to provide outstanding experiences to the fans of World TeamTennis in Orlando.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following;

  • Assist in day to day operations of the Orlando Storm & all related events
  • Work with the USTA regarding facility set-up as it relates to ticketing

INTERN: Brand Development | Team Operations Orlando Storm/World TeamTennis

The Brand Development | Team Operations Intern will be a critical part of the staging of STORM events leading up to, and during the 2020 season.  This position will work closely with the leadership team in support of all aspects of the team, including engagement with the USTA and outside vendors, along with community groups, corporate partners and season ticket patrons.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following;

  • Assist in day to day operations of the Orlando Storm & all related events
  • Work and attend all preseason events, Orlando Storm Matches and associated team functions 
  • Work with the leadership team on the construction of the 52-week Community Engagement Plan
  • Research/activate plan for promotions, brand awareness, additional sales and revenue generation opportunities
  • Manage various consumer giveaway/promotions and activations during matches
  • Assist the Front Office in creating mid-season recaps and reports for events  
  • Serve as a member of the Ticket Sales Team, with eligibility for end of season bonus plan
  • Provide assistance in the production of creative content (Photo/Video/Written)
